‘Emergency Services’ available at Aalborg Tekniske Gymnasium is the study programme for those who want to have a career within either the police force, the military, the firefighting department, emergency services or similar, and who may also be interested in courses such as Physical Education and Biotechnology.

This is the study programme where professional, social and human qualities that potential future employers may request are honed. It is due to these skills being requested that we wish to emphasize a clear relation between the theoretical material and the practical reality. As an example, this is why we teach martial arts in the Physical Education-course.

We wish to accentuate that we utilize realistic scenarios, and we cooperate with the police, the military and the DEMA (the Danish Emergency Management Agency).
We prioritize study tours and participate in exercises where our students get to experience police, military and firefighting departments working together. Besides the traveling associated with the internship there will also be opportunity to study abroad in Berlin, Germany. There is also an opportunity to go on a trip to Greenland through the students partly self-financing the trip.

It is also expected the students will visit destinations here in Denmark such as Copenhagen and/or Aarhus.
