GAMETECH

This study line is aimed at people who are interested in interactive media such as video games – an interest which goes beyond gaming as entertainment. Here, games are also viewed as tools that can contribute to solving real-world problems.

The profile subjects form the common thread in the day-to-day teaching as qualifications from these subjects are utilized in projects in other subjects as well. The core of this study line is the use of and interaction with media such as video games and apps, and students will work with projects that challenge and enhance their ability to understand user needs and requirements. Much of the teaching revolves around understanding creative development processes, project management tools, logical and systematic thinking and mathematical understanding.

Some of the projects are carried out in connection with external partners e.g. game developers, distributors or educational institutions.
